How Much Does a Photo Booth Rental Cost in NYC?
There's no single sticker price for a photo booth in NYC — here's what actually moves the number, so you know what you're paying for before you ask for a quote.

Why there's no flat rate
Ask five photo booth companies what a rental costs and you'll get five different answers, and honestly, ours would be five different answers too depending on your event. That's not evasiveness — it's because a photo booth quote is built from several moving parts, not read off a single price list. The booth type you pick, how many hours you need it running, how far it has to travel, and which add-ons you want all move the number independently.
That said, you shouldn't have to fill out a form just to get a sense of scale. Our Studio Booth, one of our most-booked options, starts at $899 for 3 hours. That's a real starting point, not a teaser rate — custom packages (longer rentals, premium booths, branded activations) are priced to the event itself, which is why we don't post a single ceiling number. What follows is what actually moves the price up or down from that starting point, so a quote makes sense the moment it lands in your inbox.
Booth type is the biggest factor
The booth itself is usually the largest single driver of price. A full-length mirror booth with an animated touchscreen and studio lighting is a different piece of equipment — and a different install — than a roaming photo booth, where an attendant simply walks the room with a handheld capture system and there's no structure to set up at all. A branded booth built around a custom wrap, start screen and campaign overlays carries more production than a standard rental, and something like a mosaic wall, where every guest photo prints as a sticker that builds into one giant image, is its own category of setup and output entirely.
None of these are "better" or "worse" — they're suited to different rooms and different goals. That's why the fastest way to a realistic number is telling us what the event actually is; we'll recommend a booth to fit it rather than starting from a price and working backward.
Hours, and what happens outside them
How long you book the booth for is the second-biggest lever, and most events don't need it running all night — three to four hours is typical for a wedding reception, and it's usually better spent live during the highest-energy stretch than sitting idle earlier in the evening. If your event runs long and you want the booth to keep going, additional hours beyond what you booked are $125 per hour.
One thing worth knowing up front: our team arrives about an hour before your scheduled start time to set up and test everything. If you need us on site earlier than that — for early venue access or extra setup time — an idle fee of $150 per hour applies. It's not a penalty, it's just the honest cost of an attendant standing by rather than driving to another booking.
Travel and your borough
We're based in Brooklyn and serve Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut. Travel is quoted from your venue's ZIP code before you book, so it's part of your upfront number rather than a surprise on the invoice — a Williamsburg wedding and a Westchester one simply won't carry the same travel line, and we'll tell you which up front.
Add-ons that change the number
Custom print templates built around your names, date or logo are standard on most bookings. Beyond that, things like a flower wall or champagne wall as a backdrop, branded overlays and a microsite for a corporate activation, or an extra roaming attendant to cover seated tables at a large wedding all add to the quote — and all are optional, so you're never paying for something you didn't ask for.
Every rental, regardless of booth or add-ons, includes a trained on-site attendant, unlimited prints for your guests, and our $3 million liability policy with a same-day certificate of insurance if your venue needs one. Those aren't upsells — they're built into every quote we send.
Because pricing is genuinely specific to your date, venue and booth choice, the fastest way to a real number is our quote form — it takes about 30 seconds and comes back with pricing built for your actual event, travel included.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How much does a photo booth rental cost in NYC?
Our Studio Booth starts at $899 for 3 hours — that's the most reliable anchor point we can give without a form. From there, price moves based on which booth you choose, how many hours you need, and where your venue is. Custom and premium packages are priced to the event itself, so the fastest way to a real number for anything beyond the starting rate is our quote form, which takes about 30 seconds.
What's included in the price?
A trained on-site attendant, unlimited prints for your guests during your rental, and our $3 million liability policy with a same-day certificate of insurance if your venue requires one. Travel is calculated from your venue's ZIP code and included in the quote up front, not added later.
Does the price change by borough?
Travel is quoted from your venue's ZIP code before you book, so location affects the number, yes — but it's disclosed as part of your quote, not tacked on afterward. We serve Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut.
What if I want the booth to run longer than planned?
Additional hours beyond what you booked are $125 per hour, arranged on the day if the party's still going. If you need our team on site earlier than the standard hour-before arrival for setup, that's an idle fee of $150 per hour.
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
No — travel, hours and any add-ons are all built into the quote you receive before you book. The only variables that appear on the day are ones you choose yourself, like adding hours.
How do I get an exact price for my event?
Fill out the quote form with your date, venue and guest count. It takes about 30 seconds, there's no obligation, and a real person reads every request — you'll get pricing built for your actual event rather than a generic range.
