The green screen booth built for Brooklyn's spaces
Brooklyn's event spaces vary more than almost anywhere we work — a Bushwick warehouse with painted brick, a Park Slope brownstone garden, a Williamsburg rooftop with the skyline behind it. A physical backdrop can only match one of those rooms. A green screen booth matches all of them, because the background is built in software rather than hauled in on a truck. Tell us the scene you want — the skyline your rooftop already has, a themed set for a warehouse party, a brand world for a launch — and our design team builds it before your event rather than pulling something off a shelf. Custom props built to match round it out, so a themed shot doesn't have someone holding a generic prop in front of a scene it has nothing to do with.
It is why we bring this booth most often to brand activations, themed parties and school events around the borough — the kind of event where one location needs several different looks over a single night, or where the theme itself doesn't exist anywhere you could physically build it. Guests step in front of the screen, see themselves composited live, and choose stills, GIFs, boomerangs or all three depending on what you've set up.
Loft venues, converted warehouses, waterfront rooftops and brownstone gardens each bring their own load-in reality, and we plan the setup around whichever one you've booked before we ever arrive — a freight elevator reservation for a Bushwick space, a narrow staircase in a Park Slope brownstone, a rooftop cable run in Williamsburg. There is no travel fee anywhere in Brooklyn, quoted from your venue ZIP code before you book, and neighborhoods like DUMBO, Greenpoint, Downtown Brooklyn, Crown Heights and Bay Ridge are all standard territory for us.

Magic Mirror Brooklyn is Absolutely the BEST thing we added to our wedding reception! People were still talking about how much FUN they had 2 weeks after, they LOVED Vallon and his crew who made everything so much FUN, the keepsake photos were Hilarious & guests stayed WAY later than they would have because we had this UNIQUE booth! Typical photobooths have NOTHING on this Mirror. If I could give a 10 star rating..I would!

Magic Mirror Brooklyn was incredibly professional and friendly upon booking online, particularly in regards to the rental of the Mirror photo-booth. They worked tirelessly to pull off our vision and went above and beyond throughout the process. On event day, they were professional and had wonderful interactions with each guest who came to get their picture taken.

It was a pleasure doing business with Valen. He was very polite, professional and very accommodating. Him and his assistant had very good energy and kept all of our guests having fun. The table with accessories was kept neat and organized the whole evening. The booth was a big hit in my event! Would definitely hire this company again.

Questions
Green Screen Booth in Brooklyn — FAQ
Can the background match the view from a Brooklyn rooftop venue?
Yes. If your Williamsburg or DUMBO rooftop already looks out on the skyline, we can build a background that extends it, or go somewhere else entirely — a themed set, a brand world, whatever fits your event. Tell us the room and the shot you want and our design team designs around it.
How far in advance do you need our custom background designed?
Give us at least two weeks for a fully custom background so there is time to build it and get your sign-off. Simpler swaps can be turned around faster — ask and we'll tell you what's realistic for your date.
Does the green screen work outdoors, like on a Williamsburg or DUMBO rooftop?
Yes, we run it on rooftops across Brooklyn regularly. Direct, harsh sun can affect the keying, so we typically position the screen to avoid facing straight into afternoon light — tell us your rooftop's orientation and we'll plan the setup around it.
Will a dark warehouse space in Bushwick affect the composite?
No. The background swap happens electronically, so the color and texture of the room around the screen doesn't matter. We bring our own lighting rig to keep the key consistent regardless of what the venue's ambient lighting looks like.
Is there a travel fee to bring the booth into Brooklyn?
No travel fee anywhere in Brooklyn. We quote it from your venue ZIP code before you book, so there is nothing to discover on the invoice afterward.
How much floor space does the green screen booth need?
Optimal setup is 10ft x 10ft, which leaves room for the screen, lighting and a props table. We can compress into a smaller footprint when a Brooklyn venue is tight — the minimum is 8ft x 8ft with 7.5ft of ceiling clearance. We also need a standard 110V, 5-amp, 3-prong outlet within 15 feet.
Is an attendant included with the rental?
Yes. A trained attendant runs the green screen booth for the full length of your rental — managing the background changes, keeping props organized, helping guests, and packing down afterward.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for a Brooklyn venue?
Yes. We carry a $3 million insurance policy. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we will send it over.
