The magazine booth in Jersey City
Jersey City's waterfront venues give the magazine booth a natural set piece to sit next to — an Exchange Place or Newport reception with the Manhattan skyline in the windows behind the cover frame photographs like an actual magazine shoot. A wedding edition with your names on the masthead is our most-requested cover here, though a fully branded issue works just as well for a corporate event at one of the Hudson-facing hotel ballrooms.
The booth wants a 10ft x 10ft footprint at its best, which the newer waterfront venues around Newport and Exchange Place tend to have, and we compress to 8ft x 8ft for tighter spaces like a Grove Street loft or a McGinley Square hall. We need a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet, and we arrive a full hour before your start time so the cover frame and lighting are tested before guests arrive.
Every cover is designed with you ahead of the event, a trained attendant runs unlimited sessions all night, and the finished cover delivers instantly by text, email or QR code alongside a printed copy from the on-site printer. There is no travel fee for most Jersey City venues — it is a short hop from our Brooklyn base, quoted from your venue ZIP code before you book.

Magic Mirror Brooklyn is Absolutely the BEST thing we added to our wedding reception! People were still talking about how much FUN they had 2 weeks after, they LOVED Vallon and his crew who made everything so much FUN, the keepsake photos were Hilarious & guests stayed WAY later than they would have because we had this UNIQUE booth! Typical photobooths have NOTHING on this Mirror. If I could give a 10 star rating..I would!

Magic Mirror Brooklyn was incredibly professional and friendly upon booking online, particularly in regards to the rental of the Mirror photo-booth. They worked tirelessly to pull off our vision and went above and beyond throughout the process. On event day, they were professional and had wonderful interactions with each guest who came to get their picture taken.

It was a pleasure doing business with Valen. He was very polite, professional and very accommodating. Him and his assistant had very good energy and kept all of our guests having fun. The table with accessories was kept neat and organized the whole evening. The booth was a big hit in my event! Would definitely hire this company again.

Questions
Magazine Booth in Jersey City — FAQ
Can the magazine cover use the Jersey City waterfront as part of the shot?
Yes — Exchange Place and Newport venues that face the Hudson give the cover frame a Manhattan skyline backdrop, and it is one of our favorite setups in the city.
Can we design our own magazine cover?
Yes. The cover is designed with you before the event — names, date, colors and cover lines, or a full brand lockup for corporate work. We send a proof ahead of time either way.
How much space does the magazine booth need?
Optimal setup is 10ft x 10ft, which the newer waterfront venues around Newport and Exchange Place tend to have. We compress to 8ft x 8ft for a tighter Grove Street loft or similar space, and need a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet.
Do you charge a travel fee to Jersey City?
No travel fee for most Jersey City venues — it is a short hop from our Brooklyn base. We quote everything from your venue ZIP code before you book.
How long does setup take?
About 20 minutes once we arrive. We arrive a full hour before your start time so the frame and lighting are tested before your first guest sees it.
Do guests get a printed cover or a digital one?
Both. Covers print on site from a dye-sublimation printer, and every guest also receives the digital version by text, email or QR code.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for my venue?
Yes. We carry a $3 million liability insurance policy. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we will send it over.
How much does a magazine booth rental cost in Jersey City?
Pricing depends on how many hours you need and your specific venue, rather than a flat rate card. The quote form returns a real number in about 30 seconds, and additional hours beyond your booked time are $125 per hour.
