The magazine booth in Queens

Queens events tend to run large, and the magazine booth holds up well at that scale — a wedding cover works for a 300-guest catering hall reception in Astoria as easily as it does for a small gathering, because every guest gets the same star treatment regardless of how long the guest list runs. A Sweet Sixteen edition built around the guest of honor is one of our most-booked setups in Flushing and Forest Hills specifically.

The booth needs a 10ft x 10ft footprint at its best — most catering halls we work in across Astoria, Flushing and Forest Hills have that to spare — and we can compress to 8ft x 8ft when a Jamaica or Ridgewood venue is tighter. A standard 110V outlet within 15 feet is the only other requirement, and setup takes about 20 minutes once we arrive an hour ahead of your start time.

Your cover is designed with you before the event — names, date, colors and cover lines, or a full brand lockup for corporate work — and a trained attendant runs unlimited sessions for your full booking. Covers print on site and also deliver digitally by text, email or QR code, with an online gallery afterward. Queens is a standard service area with no surprise fees, quoted from your venue ZIP code before you book.

What clients say

4.9 stars from 210 Google reviews

Magic Mirror Brooklyn is Absolutely the BEST thing we added to our wedding reception! People were still talking about how much FUN they had 2 weeks after, they LOVED Vallon and his crew who made everything so much FUN, the keepsake photos were Hilarious & guests stayed WAY later than they would have because we had this UNIQUE booth! Typical photobooths have NOTHING on this Mirror. If I could give a 10 star rating..I would!

Selly & Sherwin

Magic Mirror Brooklyn was incredibly professional and friendly upon booking online, particularly in regards to the rental of the Mirror photo-booth. They worked tirelessly to pull off our vision and went above and beyond throughout the process. On event day, they were professional and had wonderful interactions with each guest who came to get their picture taken.

Sasha & Gladstone

It was a pleasure doing business with Valen. He was very polite, professional and very accommodating. Him and his assistant had very good energy and kept all of our guests having fun. The table with accessories was kept neat and organized the whole evening. The booth was a big hit in my event! Would definitely hire this company again.

Questions

Magazine Photo Booth in Queens — FAQ

Is the magazine booth good for a large Queens wedding?

Yes. Unlimited sessions mean it holds up at a 300-guest catering hall reception just as well as a smaller event, and the oversized cover frame keeps the corner visually interesting even when a line has formed.

Can we design a Sweet Sixteen cover for a Queens event?

Yes — it is one of our most-requested designs in Flushing and Forest Hills. Send us the guest of honor's name, colors and any theme, and our design team builds the cover before the event.

How much space does the magazine booth need?

Optimal setup is 10ft x 10ft, which most Queens catering halls have to spare. We compress to 8ft x 8ft for tighter venues, and we need a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet.

Do you charge a travel fee in Queens?

Queens is a standard service area with no surprise fees. We quote it from your venue ZIP code before you book.

How long does setup take?

About 20 minutes once we arrive. We arrive a full hour before your start time so everything is tested and ready before your first guest sees it.

Do guests get a printed and digital cover?

Both. Covers print on site from a dye-sublimation printer, and every guest also gets the digital version by text, email or QR code.

Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for a Queens venue?

Yes. We carry a $3 million liability insurance policy. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we will send it over.

How much does a magazine booth rental cost in Queens?

Pricing depends on how many hours you need and your specific venue, rather than a flat rate card. The quote form returns a real number in about 30 seconds, and additional hours beyond your booked time are $125 per hour.

Can we design a quinceañera cover instead of a Sweet Sixteen or wedding one?

Yes — it's one of the more popular custom covers we build. Send us the honoree's name, colors and any theme details and our design team puts the cover together before the event, the same process we use for a Sweet Sixteen.

Is parking an issue for guests at our catering hall?

Most of the larger halls in Astoria, Flushing and Forest Hills have their own guest lots. If your event is at a Long Island City venue instead, street parking or ride-share tends to be more typical.
