The mirror booth, built for The Bronx's biggest guest lists
Our magic mirror is the booth Bronx families ask for by name, and it's easy to see why once you've watched three generations use it back to back. Behind the gold frame sits a Canon DSLR and a studio ring light, so the photos look shot in a studio rather than snapped on a phone under a tent. The touchscreen does the heavy lifting from there — animated prompts, a voice walking guests through the pose, and a fingertip signature guests can leave right on their print, which grandparents and teenagers both end up using.
It travels well into the venues we see most across the borough: onto the level back lawn of a Riverdale estate home where a long driveway makes load-in easy, into a Throggs Neck catering hall already set up for a two-hundred-guest wedding, up a Mott Haven loft's freight elevator for a younger crowd's engagement party. Because it reads at full height, whole families can pile in at once rather than squeezing three people into a frame — which is exactly the multigenerational guest list that Bronx weddings, Sweet Sixteens and bar and bat mitzvahs tend to bring, alongside the christenings and retirement parties that fill halls near Pelham Bay Park most weekends.
Setup takes about 20 minutes and we arrive a full hour ahead of your start time, so it is tested and quiet before your first guest walks in. The booth wants a 10ft x 10ft footprint with room for a backdrop and props table, though we can compress to 8ft x 8ft with 7.5ft of ceiling clearance for a tighter hall floor, and all it needs is a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet — many Bronx catering halls run tight circuits for their own DJ and kitchen equipment, so we bring a dedicated power run rather than sharing one. There is no travel fee anywhere in The Bronx, whether your venue sits in Riverdale or Country Club — we quote everything from your venue ZIP before you book.

Magic Mirror Brooklyn is Absolutely the BEST thing we added to our wedding reception! People were still talking about how much FUN they had 2 weeks after, they LOVED Vallon and his crew who made everything so much FUN, the keepsake photos were Hilarious & guests stayed WAY later than they would have because we had this UNIQUE booth! Typical photobooths have NOTHING on this Mirror. If I could give a 10 star rating..I would!

Magic Mirror Brooklyn was incredibly professional and friendly upon booking online, particularly in regards to the rental of the Mirror photo-booth. They worked tirelessly to pull off our vision and went above and beyond throughout the process. On event day, they were professional and had wonderful interactions with each guest who came to get their picture taken.

It was a pleasure doing business with Valen. He was very polite, professional and very accommodating. Him and his assistant had very good energy and kept all of our guests having fun. The table with accessories was kept neat and organized the whole evening. The booth was a big hit in my event! Would definitely hire this company again.

Questions
Mirror Photo Booth in The Bronx — FAQ
Is the mirror booth a fit for a Riverdale estate wedding or backyard reception?
Yes — Riverdale's larger properties often give us a level lawn or patio to set up on rather than a tight ballroom floor, which makes outdoor placement easier than in most of the borough. We just confirm ground level, shade and a nearby outlet before you book, since the mirror's touchscreen doesn't read well in direct sun.
Can the mirror booth run alongside a DJ and full kitchen at a Throggs Neck catering hall?
Yes. Many Bronx catering halls run tight circuits for their own DJ and kitchen equipment, so we bring a dedicated power run rather than plugging into whatever's nearby — nothing trips a breaker mid-reception.
Do you charge extra to bring the mirror booth to a Mott Haven loft?
No travel fee anywhere in The Bronx. Mott Haven's converted loft spaces are increasingly common for us, and freight elevator access is something we plan around before we arrive, not something we discover on site.
Can guests sign or write on their photo at the mirror booth?
Yes. The touchscreen supports on-screen signatures and drawings, so guests can leave a message right on their print — a favorite at Bronx weddings where the couple keeps every strip in a guest book afterward.
How much space does the mirror booth need?
The optimal footprint is 10ft x 10ft, which leaves room for the backdrop, props table and a red carpet if you want one. We can compress to a minimum of 8ft x 8ft with 7.5ft of ceiling clearance for a tighter Bronx loft or hall floor, and we need one standard 110V outlet within 15 feet.
Is an attendant included with a Bronx mirror booth rental?
Yes. A trained attendant runs the booth for the full length of your Bronx rental — setup, keeping the prop table organized, helping guests use the touchscreen, and packing down at the end of the night.
How long does setup take, and can you arrive early for a Bronx event?
Setup takes about 20 minutes once we're in the room, and we arrive a full hour before your scheduled start time so everything is tested and quiet before guests arrive. If your Bronx venue needs us on site earlier than that, idle time runs $150 per hour.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for a Bronx venue?
Yes. We carry a $3 million insurance policy. If your Bronx venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we will send it over.
Which Bronx neighborhoods do you cover?
We're out across Riverdale, Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay, Mott Haven, Country Club and the surrounding areas most weekends of the season. If your venue isn't on that list, ask anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we can get there.
