It's a natural fit for the corporate work that fills DUMBO's waterfront office buildings and event spaces — a portrait station at a company all-hands, a headshot corner tucked into a launch party. The lighting rig is also what makes it work in archway and waterfront venues specifically, where daylight swings hard between open sky and deep shade under the arches; our own lights hold the exposure steady regardless of which side of the room a guest is standing on.
For a DUMBO wedding or gala, the same rig applies to the whole guest list, with overlays carrying the couple's names or a monogram. We ask for a 10ft x 10ft footprint where the venue allows it, 8ft x 8ft in a tighter archway space, and a 110V outlet within 15 feet. Does the studio booth's lighting hold up in a DUMBO archway venue with uneven daylight?
Yes. Because we run our own studio lighting rather than relying on the room, the exposure stays consistent even when one side of an archway venue is in bright open sky and the other is in deep shade.
Is the studio booth good for corporate headshots at a DUMBO office event?
It's a regular request from the companies based in DUMBO's waterfront buildings. The DSLR and studio lighting produce genuinely usable headshots, and guests get them by email before the event wraps up.
Can the studio booth still produce a good portrait when the venue already has a Manhattan Bridge view?

How much space does the studio booth need?
Optimal setup is 10ft x 10ft, which gives room for the camera, lighting and backdrop. We can compress to 8ft x 8ft when a DUMBO venue runs tight, and we need a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet, ideally not shared with the DJ or catering.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for a DUMBO venue?
Yes. We carry a $3 million liability insurance policy. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we'll send it over.
How long does setup take, given DUMBO's cobblestone load-in?
About 20 minutes once we're in the room. We arrive a full hour before your start time and build in extra time for the walk in from parking, since cobblestone streets slow down rolling equipment. If you need us there earlier still, idle time runs $150 per hour.
