The studio booth in Williamsburg's lofts and rooftop venues
The converted industrial spaces off Berry Street are exactly the rooms the studio booth was built for — exposed brick, string lights and whatever bulbs the space came with, none of it lit for photography. We bring a pro-grade DSLR and a full creative lighting setup and build it into whichever corner actually has clearance, so a corporate mixer or a product launch in one of these lofts ends up with portraits that look considered rather than lit by accident.
It's also become a regular request from the agencies and creative studios that lease space around North and East Williamsburg, usually because the party doubles as a headshot refresh for the team. Guests sit for a real portrait, choose a still, a GIF or a short video, and have the file in their inbox before they're back at their desk. On a rooftop deck along Wythe or Kent, the same lighting rig solves a different problem — it holds the exposure steady as the sky goes from late-afternoon light into dusk, so the portraits from the first hour and the last hour look like they were shot under the same conditions.
For weddings and galas, the same setup just applies to a bigger guest list, with custom overlays carrying the couple's names or a monogram. We ask for a 10ft x 10ft footprint where a loft or rooftop allows it, 8ft x 8ft when the space is tighter, and a 110V outlet that isn't already feeding the DJ — worth confirming ahead of time in Williamsburg's older industrial buildings, where circuits tend to get shared fast. No travel fee anywhere in the neighborhood; it's minutes from us.

Magic Mirror Brooklyn is Absolutely the BEST thing we added to our wedding reception! People were still talking about how much FUN they had 2 weeks after, they LOVED Vallon and his crew who made everything so much FUN, the keepsake photos were Hilarious & guests stayed WAY later than they would have because we had this UNIQUE booth! Typical photobooths have NOTHING on this Mirror. If I could give a 10 star rating..I would!

Magic Mirror Brooklyn was incredibly professional and friendly upon booking online, particularly in regards to the rental of the Mirror photo-booth. They worked tirelessly to pull off our vision and went above and beyond throughout the process. On event day, they were professional and had wonderful interactions with each guest who came to get their picture taken.

It was a pleasure doing business with Valen. He was very polite, professional and very accommodating. Him and his assistant had very good energy and kept all of our guests having fun. The table with accessories was kept neat and organized the whole evening. The booth was a big hit in my event! Would definitely hire this company again.

Questions
Studio Photo Booth in Williamsburg — FAQ
Can the studio booth work in a Berry Street loft with only string lights and exposed brick?
Yes — that's the exact situation the booth is built for. We bring our own lighting rig rather than relying on the room, so a converted industrial space with moody ambient light still gets clean, evenly lit portraits.
Is the studio booth good for a corporate headshot corner at a Williamsburg agency party?
It's one of the most common reasons it gets booked here. The DSLR and studio lighting produce genuinely usable headshots, and guests receive them by email before they leave the room — a practical perk that has become a Williamsburg office-party staple.
Does the studio booth's lighting hold up on a rooftop as the sun goes down?
Yes. Because we run our own lighting rig rather than depending on ambient light, portraits taken at the start of a Wythe or Kent rooftop event look consistent with the ones taken after dusk, when natural light would otherwise be dropping fast.
Is there a travel fee for a studio booth rental in Williamsburg?
No travel fee — Williamsburg is minutes from us. Tell us your venue and guest count and we'll return a real quote, usually the same day.
What backdrops work with the studio booth in Williamsburg?
Any backdrop in our range — a solid premium backdrop, one of our 30+ flower walls, or a custom branded setup for a corporate event. Loft venues with exposed brick often pair especially well with a flower wall for contrast.
How much space does the studio booth need?
Optimal setup is 10ft x 10ft, which gives room for the camera, lighting and backdrop. We can compress to 8ft x 8ft when a Williamsburg venue is tight, and we need a standard 110V outlet within 15 feet, ideally not shared with the DJ or catering.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI for a Williamsburg venue?
Yes. We carry a $3 million liability insurance policy. If your venue needs a certificate of insurance naming them as additionally insured, reply to your booking confirmation with their contact email and we'll send it over.
How long does setup take?
About 20 minutes once we're in the room, and we arrive a full hour before your start time so the lighting is dialed in before guests arrive. If you need us on site earlier than that, idle time runs $150 per hour.
Does the studio booth need its own power circuit in an older Williamsburg building?
We need a standard 110V, 5-amp, 3-prong outlet within 15 feet, and we'd rather it not be sharing a circuit with the DJ or catering equipment. In East Williamsburg's older industrial conversions, that sometimes means walking the space with our attendant before settling on a spot.
